LIKES: sarah has an eclectic taste in music and likes it a lot. she loves to read books, especially novels written by jane austen. she has a love for the stars, so astronomy would be the focus in her career. also she likes art of any kind: painting, drawing, sculpture, and etc. oh and cannot forget, the love of her life, ollie.
DISLIKES: she dislikes rude and arrogant people. she does not like it when people lie to her face, especially when she knows the truth. she cannot stand people who whine. sarah also dislikes it when people correct her. sarah does not like spiders or just creepy crawly bugs in general.
STRENGTHS: she's very persistent, strong in mind and magic, and uses her knowledge as an advantage.
WEAKNESSES: sarah doesn't manage stress very well so she's prone to panic attacks and hyperventillating. she gives in too easily because she's very laid back and is lenient. oh and ollie!
HABITS/QUIRKS: bites lower lip when nervous, taps fingers or foot constantly when impatient, and roll my eyes when i could care less.

PERSONALITY: Sarah is quite a complex person to get to know. She may come off distant at first and that is because she does not care to know anyone. Though when she does become interested in a person, she seems persistent to get to know them. So she does constantly ask questions, but that is only because she's a very curious person. Though with her own persona, she likes to keep up a mysterious facade. It either lures people to her or repels them. She does like making friends, but has a hard time keeping them. Their lives could either keep her intrigued or bore her. Though she insists on avoiding drama because she finds it a hassle to become involved and having to sort through all that. She is very caring and sympathetic and cannot help but give assistance to any one person. In some cases, she could help an unabled stranger or even lend a helping hand to a close and personal friend.

When you get to know Sarah, you'll notice she is very quiet. She doesn't talk a lot unless its with a crowd she knows. Also if its about a subject she cares about, particularly school and astronomy. She's very intelligent and studies hard. She likes to be on top of everything, that includes her work. So she's what you call a perfectionist. Everything must be in order in her schedule or she'll be thrown off. She's ever rarely cross with anyone, but Sarah's temper is short and can be brash. So I would watch out. Even her sarcasm comes off a bit on the deep end, but she doesn't mean to be rude. Besides all that tosh, she's easy to get along with and does have a dry and sarcastic kind of humor.

HISTORY: Sarah was born January 18th, 1987 to an irish pureblood couple, Sean and Veronica Malloy. Some time later on, her parents bore another child named Caroline Malloy on November 28th, 1988. As the two girls grew up, Sarah had always watched over her younger sister. She's taken up that big sisterly role at an early age. Their parents brought them up in a proper and very rule-based house. The girls had proper training in etiquette. Since magic is in their blood, it showed during different stages of the girls life, which for Sarah, started when she was around six or seven. Let's just say she got a hold of a whole jar of chocolate chip cookies. As for Caroline, she had begun having visions which her parents had to hide from the rest of the magical community. Sarah loved to read, and she had done so every night before bed, even to her younger sister Caroline. At the tender age of nine, she actually had the mind of an adult in a child's body. She used this to her advantage as she read from small chapter books, to novels, and even several dictionaries in different languages. Though as she turned ten years old, Sarah became interested in Quidditch. Her first flight on the broom was with her father the day after her birthday. She knew right after then that she wanted to play quidditch when she had the opportunity in school.

When she turned eleven, she received a letter of acceptance to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and was thrilled to finally attend school to begin her learning for magic. The process of buying supplies and such all in one day was very overwhelming. She spent a lot of her time at the quidditch shop, starring through the window at the line of Nimbus brooms. Of course her parents had to pry her from the window to go and get her wand and fitted robes. Though as she made it to the train that would take its long ride to the castle, she began to feel panicked that she would be away from her family for the first time. It saddened her as they had said their goodbyes and off she went on the train, watching sullenly as they faded from her vision. The ride wasn't half bad, but she didn't speak most of the time, especially with those she shared a compartment with. As they had arrived at school with the great big dinner to start off the school year, Sarah was sorted into Ravenclaw. Once dinner was over and the day had turned in, Sarah woke up the next day to read up on the history of the Ravenclaw house, and she felt very proud that she fitted in a house that was exactly like her traits. Even though that had distracted her feelings of nostalgia for awhile, she did try to make some friends within her house.

Her first and second year at school was rough for the time being. She made friends more easily than she had thought. Sarah had at least a couple of girl friends that she had hung out a lot with and studied with too since she's a very studious pupil. However, at one time during the term she had faltered. Being away from her family too long was taking a toll on her. Spending holidays with them just wasn't enough. Though the attachment to her family eventually became easier with her third year in school as Caroline was finally accepted to school. Even though she was sorted into the house of Hufflepuff, Sarah was able to see her sister around school and feel much better that she had family within the school. Sarah became more active not only in academics, but also in sports. She finally tried out and played on the Ravenclaw quidditch team as one of their three chasers. She loved the game at a young age and had even seen one of the world quidditch games being played. Sarah just loved the feel of wind whipped in her hair and victory within hands reached. So this relieved a lot of that stress and tension built up from studies and drama with boys and friends. Yes, at a young age, she crushed on guys who looked absolutely breath-taking. Its how she met up with both Malachi Hawkins and Oliver Winthrop, both best friends since diapers as she was told. Eventually the three of them became the best friend trio in the school. The rest of her fourth year went by fast.

She had dated a boy for a few months, but they had begun to drift apart. Even though Sarah had tried to keep the relationship alive, there wasn't anything that could be salvaged. And so they had both ended the relationship, deciding that they were meant to be friends after all. It was after that Oliver had come into the picture. It was in his comforting words and gestures that she had fallen for during their fifth year, and the two began to date. She was completely content with how their relationship went for the rest of their fifth year. It was sometime after that Oliver met her family, which all had accepted him in fairly well. Her father had even taken a great liking to him, which normally he's a tough critique to please. Her sixth and seventh year at Hogwarts had been extra busy as she held both a prefect position, a boyfriend and friend, still a chaser on the team, and her studies. It was her most stressful two terms ever in her life. She's experienced a lot of panic attacks and fainting spells from all the lack of sleep and food, but with the help of Oliver, Malachi, and her sister, she was able to recover. During her seventh year, Sarah found her calling in astronomy and just could not stop herself learning about it.

After graduating from Hogwarts, she left with Oliver to attend a magical university in London where she could focus more in the science and astronomy pathway. Their relationship had strengthened over the years and soon enough Oliver popped the question to marry him. Sarah and Oliver soon wed afterwards, not wasting a moment of their time to be husband and wife. The ceremony was small with close friends and family, just how the two had wanted it. So as of now, she's known as Sarah Winthrop or Mrs. Oliver Winthrop. Right after the wedding ceremony, they left for their honeymoon in Africa, but that had ended shortly with murder of Malachi's father. So the two had rushed to return by his side, helping their friend in need during these dreadful times. Since Malachi had become the new Headmaster at Hogwarts and Ollie professor for Care of Magical Creatures, Sarah decided that she would apply for the professor position for Astronomy.

Sarah waited while some finished up their quizzes and turned them in to her. She was grateful that some had paid attention to the note on the board and did what they were suppose to do. She'd probably reward an extra ten points to their house for being the first to turn in their quiz. "Thank you," she murmured to each as she then was ready to begin class. Some may have not done the quiz, but only because they entered late in her course, which they'd eventually have to make up on their own time. Hopefully it wouldn't be too late into the term as there would be another quiz held.

"Alright everyone. Hopefully the quiz wasn't too hard. Let's continue on to where we left off from last lesson about stars. We've learned some facts about them and how they are bright, how they are formed, how they die, types, and what they can form into like galaxies. We've learned about supernovas too. So what is a Nebulae?" She asked, but didn't expect an answer quickly because she'd lecture on it anyway. "Well a nebula is a huge, diffuse cloud of gas and dust in intergalactic space. The gas in nebulae, which is plural of nebula if you want to know, is mostly hydrogen gas."

Taking the time to write down the names of different nebulae, she sets the piece of chalk down and wipes her hands off with a nearby rag. "First, a Stellar Nursery is a nebula in which star formation is occuring. We know that stars are formed from gas. These nebulae are frequently illuminated by ultraviolet light which is emitted from the newborn stars. An example of a stellar nursery is the Eagle nebula." Taking the moment to set the board up more, Sarah taps her wand for the information on each nebula to appear. "On the board is information for each nebula. I would like for you to copy it down at this time."

Types of Nebulae

• Planetary Nebula - is a nebula formed from by a shell of gas which was ejected from a certain kind of extremely hot star like a red giant or supergiant. As the giant star explodes, the core of the star is exposed. Planetary nebulae have nothing to do with planets.
  
• Emission Nebula - is a nebula that glows. The reddish light is produced when electrons and protons combine, forming hydrogen atoms. Emission nebulae are formed when energetic ultraviolet light from a very hot star excites a cloud of hydrogen gas; the UV radiation ionizes the hydrogen. The free elections combine with protons, forming hydrogen and red light. The Horsehead Nebula is infront of an emission nebula which illuminates the outline of the "horse head."
  
• Reflection Nebula - is a nebula that glows as the dust in it reflects the light of nearby stars. These nebulae are frequently blish in color because blue light is more efficiently reflected than red light. A reflection nebula surrounds the Pleiades Cluster.
  
• Ring Nebula - is a huge cloud of dust and gast that is shaped like a ring.
